$100 for a Day: $118.91 Median, Best in Six

2026-09-14 · 6 min read · By Leo Park · BigPump Blog
TL;DR
  • Median $118.91, six up and six down; best 富贵 $1,943.42, worst ROBIN $60.34
  • The only median clearly above $100 in six days — good because nothing wiped out, not because things rose
  • Filters re-run: age under 48h gives a $209.59 median, while liquidity ≥$200k drops it to $94.26

Put $100 into each of the 12 tokens on Robinhood Chain's hot list 24 hours ago and the median position is worth $118.91 today — the best of the last six days. In the same table, the worst is down to $60.34, and yesterday's number-one is at $28.51.

This is a look-back, not a forecast. Every figure is back-calculated from 24h change. Data time 2026-09-14 00:09 UTC.

Median $118.91, six up and six down. $1,200 spread across all twelve would be worth $4,932.16.

In the context of six days

Daily $100 look-back medians
DateMedianUp / downBestWorst
09-09$97.84$713$6.28
09-10$98.07$275$7.28
09-11$94.68$479
09-12$101.13
09-13$88.305 up / 7 down$3,349.96$6.47
09-14$118.916 up / 6 down$1,943.42$60.34

Today is the only one of the six clearly above $100. The more interesting column is worst: the last few days produced $6.28, $7.28 and $6.47 — tokens that lost 93%+ in a day. Today's worst is $60.34. Nothing on the board wiped out.

That is not because the market got healthier. It is because today's board skews older — six tokens (CHUMP, PONS, WALLET, AI, RAXOL, 富贵) are over 1,000 hours old, and old pools do not fall 90% in a day. The wipeouts are happening off the board.

Three traps in this table

1. Survivorship bias: the board turns over daily

These are the tokens still on the list today. Yesterday's number-one, $CATGPT, is -71.49% ($100 → $28.51) and has dropped out of the hot 12 entirely. Yesterday's number-two, $PAIREX, is -37.89% and barely holding on. Holding yesterday's twelve into today would look considerably worse than this table — I ran that separately in yesterday's golden dogs, day two.

2. "$100 into $1,943" depends entirely on which pool

富贵's +1,843.42% is the reading from its pool created 2026-07-15. The USDG pool built yesterday for the same token is +106.4% over the same window ($100 → $206.40), and CoinGecko reads +30.2% ($100 → $130.20). BLAST is more extreme: the WETH pool is +1,480.70% while the deepest pool, USDG 4.89%, is -10.34% ($100 → $89.66).

So the honest reading of this table is: if you happened to be in the exact pool the leaderboard samples, and you happened to buy at that pool's price 24 hours ago. Both conditions rarely hold. Details in the BLAST two-pool breakdown.

3. $100 is theoretical — slippage, fees and gas come off it

The two four-figure results sit in thin pools: BLAST $70,922, 富贵 $233,286. Buying $100 in a $70,922 pool is nothing, but buying $5,000 — or selling after a 15x — has real price impact. Add pool fees (BLAST has a 4.89% pool; TWINE's deepest charges 5%) and two gas payments, and realised returns land visibly below the table.

Using this as a filter

  1. Turnover maps to swing size. Today's two biggest winners ran 40.3x and 93.3x turnover; the two biggest losers ran 11.1x and 3.4x. High turnover means large moves in an undetermined direction. If you cannot sit through -40%, do not hold a 40x-turnover token.
  2. Liquidity maps to whether you can leave. AI has a $24,072,644 pool — you can exit a 19.50% drawdown any time. BLAST has $70,922 — you are up 1,481% on paper but a $50,000 exit moves the price against you.
  3. The buyer/seller ratio previews tomorrow. Eleven of today's twelve tokens had fewer unique buyers than sellers; the only exception is 富贵 at 1.08. The whole board is distributing, which is one of the leading indicators for tomorrow's median.
  4. Do not make decisions off the median. $118.91 sits on a distribution running from $60.34 to $1,943.42. The median tells you how the day went, not what a random pick would have returned.

Re-running it through two filters

What if instead of buying all twelve blind, you applied an on-chain condition first? I ran four common filters over today's data:

$100 look-back median under different filters (2026-09-14 sample)
FilterQualifyingMedianvs buy-all
Buy all 12 (baseline)12$118.91
Age under 48 hours5$209.59+76%
Buyer/seller ratio ≥ 0.857$189.81+60%
Liquidity ≥ $200,0006$94.26-21%
Turnover under 20x9$90.98-24%

Two results stand out.

"Buy the new ones" was today's best filter. The five tokens under 48 hours old (BLAST 19h, TWINE 29h, SWARM 34h, BANGERCAT 35h, PAIREX 42h) produced a $209.59 median. That matches intuition — discovery windows are where the volatility is. It is also the cohort most likely to go to zero: across four days of launch tracking, 40 zero-hour tokens produced one that was up 24 hours later (see today's post-mortem). New does not mean good; it means volatile.

The two "play it safe" filters did worse. Requiring liquidity ≥ $200,000 screens out BLAST, TWINE and SWARM — three of the four golden dogs — leaving the large old names (AI, PONS, WALLET) and dropping the median to $94.26. Requiring turnover under 20x does much the same. Both conditions genuinely reduce the odds of a -90% day; the cost is giving up nearly all the upside. On today's board, safety and return are explicitly in conflict.

To be explicit: this is a single day, fitted after the fact — not a strategy backtest. On another day the ordering likely inverts; the 09-13 median was $88.30 and that day's new-launch cohort included FRONTIER at -93.5%. The point is that filters change the outcome materially, not that any one of them is a recommendation.

The day in one line

Best of six days — but good because nothing collapsed, not because things broadly rose. Six up, six down, eleven of twelve distributing, and three of the four golden dogs already negative on 1h or 6h. The full board is in today's hot-tokens report.

FAQ

Is this a backtest or a forecast?

Pure look-back. It assumes you bought 24 hours ago and sold now, back-calculated from 24h change. It predicts nothing; the last six medians bounced between $88.30 and $118.91 with no trend.

Why are fees excluded?

Because fees vary by pool — today's board runs from 0.9% to 11% — and including them would make the tokens incomparable. Real returns take off pool fee × 2, slippage and two gas payments.

Where can I watch these tokens live?

BigPump's hot-token pages show chart, trades and pools with an on-site swap — for example 富贵 or SWARM. To launch your own, use the create page; mechanics at book.bigpump.ai.
