3 of Yesterday's 4 Golden Dogs Left the Board Overnight
- Sep 7's golden dogs were SHRUB +369.63%, BELL +169.17%, AOBS +135.82%, ROBIN +104.82%. Today only ROBIN is on the board, at -36.22%.
- $100 into each of today's 12 tokens returns $3,399.24 - but $2,606.49 of that is one copycat. The other 11 return $792.75 on $1,100.
- A hot list is a survivorship filter. Tokens do not leave it because they went up.
Yesterday the Robinhood Chain board had four golden dogs - tokens up at least 100% in 24 hours with at least $20,000 of liquidity. $SHRUB +369.63%. $BELL +169.17%. $AOBS +135.82%. $ROBIN +104.82%.
Twenty-four hours later, three of them are not on the board at all, and the survivor is down 36.22%.
What happened to each
| Token | Sep 7 24h | Sep 7 liquidity | Status on Sep 8 |
|---|---|---|---|
| SHRUB | +369.63% | $755,594 | Off the board |
| BELL | +169.17% | $62,039 | Off the board |
| AOBS | +135.82% | $84,952 | Off the board |
| ROBIN | +104.82% | $286,725 | Rank 2, -36.22%, liquidity $229,615 (-19.9%) |
Be precise about what "off the board" means: our hot list is the top tokens by trading activity. A token leaving it means its volume dropped below the twelfth most-traded token on the chain. It does not tell you the price. We do not have current prices for $SHRUB, $BELL or $AOBS in today's feed, and we are not going to guess them.
But it does tell you something. A token that gained 369% yesterday and cannot stay in the top twelve by volume today has lost the thing that made it move: attention.
The one that stayed
$ROBIN is still rank 2. Here is the two-day trace:
| Metric | Sep 6 | Sep 7 | Sep 8 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 24h change | +14,219% | +104.82% | -36.22% |
| Liquidity | - | $286,725 | $229,615 |
| Holders | 5,011 | 8,252 | 8,174 |
| Top 1 wallet | 57.8% | 53.2% | 52.8% |
| Top 10 | 73.4% | 67.7% | 67.7% |
| Distinct buyers / sellers | - | - | 1,037 / 1,174 |
The interesting line is holders: 5,011 to 8,252 to 8,174. That is the first day the holder count has fallen. Combined with distinct sellers (1,174) beating buyers (1,037) and a 1h that is green at +12.87% after a -24.66% six hours, this looks like a token finding a level after distribution, not one restarting. The whale is still at 52.8% of supply and has moved 5 percentage points in three days - we tracked that sell-down here.
The basket math, and the trapdoor in it
Put $100 into each of today's twelve board tokens 24 hours ago and here is what you would hold now:
| Token | 24h change | $100 becomes |
|---|---|---|
| LAPTOP | +2,506.49% | $2,606.49 |
| MEME | +25.67% | $125.67 |
| AI | +9.72% | $109.72 |
| CHUMP | -7.12% | $92.88 |
| EQUI | -13.34% | $86.66 |
| CASHCAT | -14.73% | $85.27 |
| PONS | -15.02% | $84.98 |
| ROBIN | -36.22% | $63.78 |
| SIRIUS | -47.31% | $52.69 |
| PAIR | -51.21% | $48.79 |
| POPE | -73.64% | $26.36 |
| UPS | -84.06% | $15.95 |
$1,200 becomes $3,399.24 - an average of $283.27, up 183.3%. A spectacular day, apparently.
Now remove one token. Without $LAPTOP, $1,100 becomes $792.75 - an average of $72.07, down 27.9%.
The entire profit of a twelve-token basket came from a nine-hour-old coin named after a token that has not launched yet, on a chain it is not launching on.
Two survivorship biases, stacked
First: the board only shows what is still trading. $SHRUB, $BELL and $AOBS are not in today's numbers because they stopped being traded enough to rank. Every "$100 in the top 12" calculation on any chain quietly excludes the coins that died between snapshots. The real basket, held from yesterday's board, would include three names we cannot even price.
Second: one outlier carries everything. Sort the twelve outcomes and the middle two are $84.98 ($PONS) and $85.27 ($CASHCAT). The median $100 became $85.13 - a 14.9% loss. The average was a 183.3% gain. When the mean and the median disagree by that much, the mean is describing one lottery ticket, not a strategy.
What to actually do with this
- Track your picks after they leave the leaderboard. If a token you own drops off the hot list, that is information - it means volume collapsed. Do not wait for a price alert; a thinning book gets you a worse exit than a lower price does.
- Judge a golden dog on day two, not day one. Yesterday's four had a 25% one-day survival rate on the board. That is the base rate you are betting against when you buy something already up 300%.
- Use medians, not averages, when you look at "what if I'd bought." Any basket including one 25x will look brilliant. You would not have bought all twelve.
- Watch holder count direction, not level. $ROBIN going 8,252 to 8,174 is the first negative print in its history and it happened on the day the price fell 36%. Rising holders during a fall means absorption; falling holders means abandonment.
FAQ
Does leaving the board mean a token went to zero?
No. It means it fell out of the top twelve by trading activity in our feed. It could be flat, down, or quietly consolidating. We have no price data for it today and will not invent one.
What is the golden dog definition here?
A 24h gain of at least +100% with liquidity of at least $20,000. The liquidity floor exists precisely so that a $500 pool printing +5,000% does not count. Today exactly one token qualified: $LAPTOP, and it is a copycat.
Isn't the 24h number for a 9-hour-old token meaningless?
Good catch, and yes - partly. A token that is nine hours old has no 24-hour history, so its "24h change" is measured from its first trades. Treat huge 24h prints on very young tokens as launch-to-now, not as a day of trading. That is another reason the $2,606.49 in the basket table is not a return anyone actually earned.
How do I follow a token that dropped off?
Its BigPump hot-token page stays live at its contract address whether or not it ranks - the chart, trades and holder list keep updating. Bookmark the address, not the leaderboard position.
