$100 for One Day on Robinhood Chain: $364 Best, $21 Worst

2026-09-05 · 5 min read · By Leo Park · BigPump Blog
TL;DR
  • Same day, same chain: $100 in MEME became $364, $100 in LEGS became $21.
  • MEME alone did 42% of the board's $148,895,442 in 24h volume — money is not leaving, it is concentrating.
  • AI turned over 0.3x and CASHCAT had more sellers than buyers: capital is rotating out of big old pools into new narratives.

Straight to it: in the 24 hours to September 5, 2026, $100 on Robinhood Chain turned into as much as $364 and as little as $21.

What follows is backward-looking. Figures are computed directly off 24h change, before slippage, tax and gas. Snapshot: 2026-09-05 00:09 UTC.

Four of twelve are green. "Hot" does not mean "going up" — a board ranks by activity and magnitude, and a lot of that activity is people frantically trading something on the way down.

The line that should hurt: CINEMA

CINEMA shows $100 → $276. But if you bought six hours before the snapshot you have about $27, because 6h is -73.37% and 1h is still -31.68%.

Same token, same day, six hours apart, a tenfold difference in outcome. In memecoins, when you buy matters far more than what you buy. That is also why reading only the 24h column costs money: it is the residue of a move that already finished. More on that in The 24h green trap.

Where the money actually went

Volume is extremely concentrated

Board total: $148,895,442. MEME did $62,495,629 of it — 42%. PONS $23,869,320, CASHCAT $21,703,722. The top three took 72%.

The blue chips are idle

AI holds $21,669,549 of liquidity — 58% of the board's entire $37,584,288 — but traded only $6,664,940, a 0.3x turnover. Its buyers numbered 2,591 against 3,943 sellers, and it closed -12.68%.

CASHCAT tells the same story: the chain's largest holder base at 106,032, buyers 1,192 vs sellers 1,579, and -15.20% on the day.

New narratives are draining them

MEME is 20 hours old with 47.8x turnover; LEGS is 27 hours old with 46.1x. That is over a hundred times the churn of the old tokens. The same wallets are moving money out of month-old positions and into things born yesterday.

Net buying, falling prices

80,884 buys against 69,447 sells over 24h (net +11,437), and still net positive on the hour (+224). Rising transaction counts with falling prices means small buys are absorbing large sells. That is retail taking the other side of size.

Four takeaways

  1. The wealth effect is real and it belonged to whoever was six hours early. Most of the golden dogs' gains happened before they appeared on your screen.
  2. Most "hot tokens" lose money. Four of twelve today. A random pick from the hot list has negative expectancy.
  3. In a rotation, yesterday's winner is today's loser. LEGS was a hot new listing yesterday and is -78.73% today.
  4. Liquidity decides whether the gain is real. PONSERS is +22.34% on a $44,087 pool. Paper gains and withdrawable gains are different things.

So what do you actually do

Nothing clever. Buy the right to be present with small size; cap the downside with rules.

For the per-token breakdown see today's hot tokens report; for live numbers use the BigPump board.

The same $100, filtered

Here is the interesting counterfactual. Suppose that 24 hours ago you had refused to buy anything failing the basic structure checks — liquidity under $100,000, top-10 above 50%, or market cap more than 100x liquidity. What would have been left?

So the structure filter alone would have cost you one winner, saved you from the day's worst loser, and still left you needing the timeframe check to tell MEME apart from CINEMA. That is the honest accounting: filters do not find winners, they remove the trades that were always going to hurt. Both layers are in the five-metric framework.

FAQ

Does this $100 recap include slippage and tax?

No. It is a theoretical value computed from 24h change. Real outcomes are worse, and the thinner the pool the wider the gap.

How can the chain be net-buying and still falling?

Because buy/sell ratios count transactions, not dollars. Many small bids absorbing a few large offers is net-positive by count and net-negative by capital.

Is Robinhood Chain still hot?

Cooling. Yahoo Finance reports daily active accounts averaging about 275,000, down 7% week over week (source). But $148.9M of single-day volume across twelve tokens says the speculative capital is still here — just more concentrated.

Is there still opportunity?

For: capital is on-chain and launch activity is enormous — Decrypt reports nearly 25,000 tokens launched through Pons on September 2 alone. Against: active accounts declining, scams ongoing, and 8 of 12 hot tokens red today. Not investment advice — memecoins can go to zero.

Better to launch than to chase?

BigPump launches with no code and no initial liquidity from you; at 4 ETH the token graduates to Uniswap V2 with the LP burned. Launch page · docs.
