5 On-Chain Metrics That Filter Out 90% of Robinhood Chain Junk

2026-09-05 · 5 min read · By Leo Park · BigPump Blog
TL;DR
  • Five checks: absolute liquidity, top-10 share, market cap ÷ liquidity, turnover, buy/sell structure. Order matters.
  • Of the 12 hot tokens on Sep 5, 2026, only four passed all five — and only one of those also had momentum.
  • Passing the filter is not a buy signal. It only removes the tokens that were guaranteed to hurt you.

The expensive part of degen trading is not losing money. It is losing money without knowing what you stepped on, so you step on it again next week.

Here is a filter you can run in thirty seconds. Five metrics, all on-chain, none dependent on anyone's opinion. Every one comes with a real pass and a real fail from the Robinhood Chain board at 2026-09-05 00:09 UTC.

Five on-chain metrics for filtering Robinhood Chain memecoins
The five-metric filter · examples from 2026-09-05 00:09 UTC

Metric 1: absolute liquidity — can you get out?

What it is. The money in the pool available to trade against you. It does not predict direction; it decides whether your sell order fills anywhere near the price you see.

Thresholds. Under $20,000: skip. $20,000–$100,000: tiny size only. Above $100,000: normal operation is possible.

Today. Pass: AI $21,669,549, PONS $6,228,159, CASHCAT $3,123,044. Marginal: LEGS at $75,174 — while trading $3,467,223 in 24h. PONSERS at $44,087.

Remember LEGS's combination: volume 46x the pool, price -78.73%. That pool is being drained, not built.

Metric 2: top-10 concentration — who can end this in one transaction?

Thresholds. Top-10 under 30% is good; 30–50% is caution; above 50%, skip. Separately, a largest single wallet above 20% is a red flag on its own.

Concentration on the board · 2026-09-05 00:09 UTC
TokenLargest walletTop-10Verdict
INDEX2.1%15.2%Very clean
MEME4.6%13.9%Clean — rare for a 20-hour token
HOOKR2.8%16.9%Clean
PONS29.5%38.2%Caution — largest dollar exposure on the board
SHRUB45.1%77.1%Red flag

SHRUB is +155.77% today with the strongest buy/sell ratio on the board (4.72). Momentum and safety are different questions, and this metric exists to keep them apart.

Metric 3: market cap ÷ liquidity — paper wealth vs real exit

What it tells you. How hard a given sell order hits the price. Higher ratio, hollower token.

Thresholds. Under 20x is solid. 20–60x is normal. Above 100x, be very careful.

Never read this one alone: CINEMA's "healthy" 2.5x was purchased with a 73% crash. Pair it with direction.

Metric 4: turnover (24h volume ÷ liquidity) — heat or escape?

Turnover is neither good nor bad by itself. Direction decides its meaning.

Same 46x, opposite conclusions. This is the metric beginners most often read backwards.

Metric 5: buy/sell structure — counts, addresses and direction together

A useful secondary read: tokens where sellers outnumber buyers. Today that is AI (2,591 buyers / 3,943 sellers), CASHCAT (1,192 / 1,579) and CHUMP (414 / 464) — all three are red on 24h.

Running the filter on today's board

Applying the thresholds (liquidity ≥ $100k, top-10 < 50%, cap/liq < 100x, turnover direction consistent with price, buyers not clearly fewer than sellers):

Five-metric screen · 2026-09-05 00:09 UTC
TokenResultWhere it fails
MEMEPass— (but 47.8x turnover: short-term only)
CHUMPPass— (24h -8.82%, no momentum)
HOOKRPass— (1h -16.54%, pulling back)
INDEXPass— (24h -37.16%, downtrend)
SHRUBFailTop-10 77.1%, cap/liq 154x
PONSFailSingle wallet 29.5%, unattributed
CINEMAFail6h -73.37% — distribution
LEGSFailFalling on 46x turnover, $75,174 left
PONSERSFail$44,087 liquidity, too thin
AI / CASHCAT / DELTAStructure ok, momentum noSellers outnumber buyers, red on 24h

Note the conclusion carefully: passing the filter is not a buy signal. The filter removes what was guaranteed to hurt you. Of the four that passed today, only MEME also has momentum — and it carries its own narrative risk.

Running all five in thirty seconds

These numbers live on different websites, which is exactly why people skip them. The BigPump hot tokens board puts 1h/6h/24h, volume, liquidity, market cap, holders, top-1 and top-10 share, and token age on one screen; open any token page for the chart, the trade tape, holder distribution and an in-page swap. Building the habit of reading that screen before you click buy is worth more than any signal group.

FAQ

Will these five stop a rug?

Most of them. Not all. Contract-level traps (mint authority, blacklists, sell restrictions) need a separate check — Blockscout shows whether the contract is verified, when it was created, and the holder list.

Why is liquidity first?

Because the other four are questions about how much you make. Liquidity is the question of whether you get your money back at all. The order is not negotiable.

What if the token is too new to have this data?

Then you have nothing to analyze. Today's 10 new listings are all under an hour old with $27 to $4,997 in liquidity and no public holder or volume data. Without data, every opinion is invented. I wait for six hours of history.

What top-10 share is "safe"?

There is no safe line. Today's cleanest are INDEX (15.2%) and MEME (13.9%). Below 30% is my bar for holding overnight.

Is launching your own token better?

At least you know where the supply is. BigPump uses a bonding curve with no team allocation; at 4 ETH it graduates to Uniswap V2 with the LP burned, and post-graduation creator tax is distributed to holders in ETH by position. Launch page · docs.
