Chain Volume -33.5%, Yet 10 of 12 Tokens Closed Green
- Chain volume -33.52% day over day; board volume fell from $148.9M to $114.4M
- Tokens under 72 hours old did 45.3% of board volume on 4% of board liquidity
- ZZZ was on yesterday’s 0-hour list with -$43 liquidity; the other nine all missed today’s top 12
Yesterday, 2026-09-05, $ZZZ appeared in my archived "new launches" list: zero hours old, liquidity reported as -$43.39. An empty pool. My note that day was "watch only, buy none."
Today, 2026-09-06, that same $ZZZ sits seventh on the hot board with a $22,057,845 market cap, $26,080,808 of 24h volume, 8,209 holders and a +2,510.70% day.
One day. And over that same day, chain-wide 24h volume on Robinhood Chain fell 33.52%. Those two facts are the same fact: the money didn't leave, it moved.
On-chain figures come from two BigPump snapshots (2026-09-05 and 2026-09-06, 00:09 UTC); chain-wide figures are sourced inline. Not financial advice.

The aggregate: the chain is shrinking
- September 5: Robinhood Chain set an all-time high of $3.7B in single-day DEX volume, with Uniswap v3 and v4 accounting for roughly 90% of peak-day volume (Crypto Briefing, 2026-09-05).
- September 6: GeckoTerminal shows 12.17M transactions and $2.61B in 24h volume, down 33.52% day over day (source, fetched 2026-09-06).
The hot board shrank too: combined 24h volume across the top 12 fell from $148.9M (09-05) to $114.4M (09-06), down 23%.
The structure: where the remaining money went
If capital were leaving, you'd see falling volume and falling prices. Instead today is falling volume with 10 of 12 tokens green. The volume distribution shows why:
| Token | Age | 24h volume | Share | Turnover | 24h |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ZZZ | 24h | $26.08M | 22.8% | 61.4x | +2,510.70% |
| PONS | 1,198h | $21.03M | 18.4% | 2.9x | +27.76% |
| SHROOM | 58h | $19.71M | 17.2% | 15.4x | +94.96% |
| CASHCAT | 1,588h | $14.68M | 12.8% | 4.2x | +3.45% |
| SHRUB | 149h | $10.08M | 8.8% | 30.6x | -66.78% |
| AI | 1,278h | $5.70M | 5.0% | 0.2x | +16.11% |
| ROBIN | 7h | $4.18M | 3.7% | 22.1x | +10,503.04% |
| FATCOIN | 105h | $3.96M | 3.5% | 0.9x | +5.22% |
Split the board by age:
- Under 72 hours old (ZZZ 24h, NEKO 36h, SHROOM 58h, ROBIN 7h): $51.85M of combined volume, 45.3% of the board, on combined liquidity of just $1.88M — 4% of the pools producing 45% of the volume.
- Over 1,000 hours old (PONS, AI, CASHCAT): $41.41M of volume, 36.2% of the board, on combined liquidity of $35.35M — 78% of the pools producing 36% of the volume.
The old tokens have 19 times the liquidity and trade less. That is what rotation looks like in one sentence: the money didn't leave the chain, it left the deep water for the shallows.
The blue chips are being drained
Last-hour order counts show the direction right now. Four tokens are clearly net sellers today:
| Token | 1h buys / sells | Sell:buy | 24h shows |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI | 26 / 126 | 4.8x | +16.11% (green) |
| FATCOIN | 25 / 110 | 4.4x | +5.22% (green) |
| SHROOM | 89 / 144 | 1.6x | +94.96% (green) |
| PONS | 89 / 137 | 1.5x | +27.76% (green) |
All four are green on the day and all four are bleeding right now. $AI is the extreme case: the deepest pool on the board ($24.73M), 40,278 holders, top ten at just 18% — structurally one of the cleanest tokens here — with 0.2x turnover and 4.8 sells per buy in the last hour. Good structure is not the same as having flow.
What rotation costs: yesterday's golden dog halves today
Rotation is not free. Every time money leaves an old token for a new one, someone is left holding at the top.
- SHRUB: a golden dog on 09-05 at +155.77%, then -66.78% on 09-06. $100 became $33. Post-mortem: $SHRUB on day two.
- NEKO: still showing +286.36% on the day, but -49.75% over six hours. The back half of the rotation has already started.
- ROBIN: +10,503.04% on the day, -34.09% on the hour. It completed a full parabola in seven hours of existence.
Yesterday's three golden dogs were MEME, CINEMA and SHRUB. Today's four are ROBIN, ZZZ, NEKO and PAIR. Two days, almost no overlap. That is the tempo of this market.
So should you camp in the 0-hour launches?
ZZZ makes it tempting: yesterday it was on the "0 hours, -$43 liquidity" list; today it's a $22M market cap. But that same list also contained MYRIC, HAYDUN, BRAINDEAD, SLINK, TULY, TOOTSIE, BEGGARTIP, HODL and GME — nine tokens, and not one of them is in today's top 12.
Yesterday's 0-hour list hit rate: 1 in 10. Today's list is another ten — FROGMAN, COSBY, PEZ, PARADOX, ROCK, UNIPCS, ONBOARD, SIMBA, HAMMY, ROBINDOG — with liquidity from $69 to $51,567, and UNIPCS (-$164) and ONBOARD (-$246) showing negative liquidity.
How to handle a 1-in-10: treat it as a watchlist, not a buy list. Let a token run a full 24 hours until it has holder counts, a top-10 figure and order counts, then measure it with concentration and turnover. ZZZ is worth discussing today not because someone spotted it yesterday, but because its top ten hold 27.5%.
The macro backdrop (external sources)
- Robinhood Chain mainnet launched 2026-07-01; it is an Ethereum L2 on the Arbitrum Orbit stack with gas paid in ETH (CoinDesk).
- Two-month totals: $34.6B of DEX volume, 576M transactions, 12.3M addresses; 190+ stock tokens with $3B+ of cumulative volume (insights4vc, 2026-09-03, which flags these as company-associated, unaudited figures).
- Top pools by 24h volume (2026-09-06): PONS/WETH $39M, PONS/USDG $21.1M, SHROOM/USDG $19.8M, CASHCAT/WETH $14.8M, AI/NVDA $5.7M (GeckoTerminal).
How to ride rotation instead of being run over by it
- Start each day by counting how many faces on the board changed. Two days with no overlap in golden dogs means holding periods here are measured in hours, not weeks.
- Use 1h order counts for current direction, not the 24h change. AI, FATCOIN, SHROOM and PONS are all green on the day and net sellers this hour.
- Measure structure before size on any new token: top 10 under 30%, turnover under 20x, 6h not falling — at least two of the three.
- Accept the hit rate. One in ten from the 0-hour list is a probability game, so position sizes must assume nine zeros.
All of this reads off one screen on the BigPump hot-token board: candles, volume, liquidity, holder percentages, order counts. If you want to launch a token with a transparent structure — no presale, no team allocation, LP burned to the dead address at graduation — that's /robinhood/create, with mechanics in the BigPump docs.
FAQ
Is Robinhood Chain volume falling?
Yes. GeckoTerminal shows $2.61B of chain-wide 24h volume on 2026-09-06, down 33.52% day over day, one day after a $3.7B single-day record. Hot-board volume also fell, from $148.9M to $114.4M.
Why are most tokens up if volume is down?
Because this is rotation, not an exodus. 10 of 12 tokens closed green while volume concentrated into tokens under 72 hours old — 45.3% of board volume on 4% of board liquidity. The old blue chip $AI turned over just 0.2x.
Was $ZZZ really on yesterday's new-launch list?
Yes. In the 2026-09-05 snapshot, ZZZ appears in newLaunches at 0 hours old with liquidity of -$43.39 and no volume or holder data. Today its market cap is $22.06M. None of the other nine tokens on that list made today's top 12.
Should I chase new tokens or buy the older ones?
What the data supports: new tokens have the flow, old tokens have the pools. New (ZZZ at 61.4x turnover) means extreme volatility; old (AI at 0.2x turnover with 4.8 sells per buy this hour) means capital walking out. Neither side is the safe side. Not financial advice.
Where do I track the rotation daily?
The BigPump hot-token board ranks live by gain, volume and liquidity and shows age and holder concentration alongside. Daily breakdown: hot tokens, September 6.
